We were invited to attend the grand opening of Forth & Tay at Bonifacio District in Mabolo.
What is Forth & Tay?
Forth & Tay is the leading direct merchant of high-end branded wines & spirits in the Philippines with a portfolio of nearly 300 brands.
Forth & Tay gets its name from the two main rivers running through Scotland, known for the quality and pureness of the water which is the lifeblood of whisky. Founded in 1999, it started life as a malt whisky, spirits, fine wine and cigar bar catering to Manila's select crowd. It was then the first of its kind in the country, setting the bar for others that followed.
Over the years, Forth & Tay has transformed to become a successful direct to consumer retailer of fine wines and spirits – a business that continues to grow, with a loyal and increasing customer base, testament to the quality of service provided.
They are a leading player in the Philippine wines and spirits industry. A direct merchant with a portfolio of nearly 300 brands, delivered to your doorstep at highly competitive prices. Our brand selection covers every budget and encompasses wines from 9 countries, 5 continents and over 20 different grape varietals to suit event the most discerning palate.
Ambiance
The place looked like a nice place to hang out with friends and even family. It gives out a European feel because of the vinyl prints on the wall and the lights and furniture. It reminded me of a wine cellar we visited when we were in Rhine Valley, Germany
As for the liquor and spirit choices, They have so much to choose from! It literally looks like a museum of wines and spirits! The malt room apparently has one of the biggest collections in the country and it has the 25yr Macallan that is worth P100,000.
Though the great thing about Forth & Tay is that they serve food too. Here's a copy of the menu:
Also, here are some photos from the event. I wasn't feeling too well, since I have a high fever so this is the only photo I have:
The place looks quite nice! and looks like a new place Cebuanos can hang out in!
